„Latatus sum in his, qua dicta sunt mihi: in domum Domini ibimus” – „Örvendeztem, amikor azt mondották nekem: az Úr házába megyünk.” A gregorián ének révén létrejön egy örömteli találkozás az Úrral. A liturgiában énekelt szentírási szakaszok, az Isten és az ember közötti párbeszéd szellemi hangján szólalnak meg. Isten végtelen szépsége és egyszerűsége tárul fel azokban a dallamokban, amelyek több mint ezer éve keletkeztek, mégis mindig frissek, újak, tele vannak meglepetéssel. A gregorián ének dallamai az Isten és az ember közötti párbeszéd szépségét jelenítik meg számunkra. A dallamok egyaránt képviselik a kinyilatkoztató Isten emberhez hajló irgalmas szeretetét és az ember vágyát a mennyei boldogság és szépség után.
A gregorián dallamok képesek arra, hogy a szöveget mindig ugyanúgy interpretálják, mégis, minden egyes alkalommal feltárjanak valamit a kinyilatkoztatás titkából, amit eddig még nem ismertünk fel.
Életem eddigi nyolcvanhat esztendeje alatt soha nem volt olyan pillanat, amikor ne fedezhettem volna fel valami egészen újat és örömtelit a gregorián énekben. Itt nem annyira a tudományos kutatásról van szó, hanem sokkal inkább arról, hogy Isten felfoghatatlanul szépen közli szeretetét, egészen emberi, mégis mindig mennyei módon.
„A mi hazánk a mennyben van” - a gregorián ének, a mennyei haza szeretet-énekének áthallása világunkban. Ahányszor gregoriánt éneklünk, vagy hallunk, lelkünk a mennyei hajlék felé irányul.

The Bible passages sung in the liturgy resound in the spiritual voice between God and man. God's infinite beauty and simplicity are revealed in the melodies that originated more than a thousand years ago, yet they are forever fresh, new and full of surprises.
The melodies of Gregorian chant represent the beauty of the dialogue between God and man to us. The melodies represent the merciful love of the self-revealing God towards man and the human desire for heavenly delight and beauty as well.
Gregorian melodies are able to interpret the text always the same way, yet every time they disclose something from the mystery of the revelation we have not realized before. The melodies of Gregorian chant represent the beauty of the dialogue between.
Throughout the eighty-seven years of my life there was not a single moment, when I could not discover something totally new and joyful in Gregorian chant. It is not really about academic research, but much more how God inconceivably beautifully communicates his love in a very human but very heavenly way.
"Our home is in heaven" - Gregorian chant is the resonance of the song of divine love of our heavenly home in this world. Whenever we sing or hear Gregorian chant, our soul turns its attention to the heavenly home.
